That's just in Texas where a size 8-1/2 hat is considered "small".
The Texan visiting in New Hampshire annoyed everybody with his
constant remarks about everything being bigger in Texas. Finally, a
prankster attempted revenge by putting a big ol' New Hampshire
snapping turtle in his bed. That night numerous loud noises,
including a couple of gunshots, emanated from his hotel room. At
breakfast, the Texan said, "Dang! I got to admit, New Hampshire has
the biggest bed bugs as ever I see!"

Lets stick with the furlong/firkin/fortnight system. Instead of
seconds, use microfortnights -- about 50 of them in an hour. I'm not
sure how that shakes down if you measure your car's petrol efficiency
in furlongs per firkin when averaging 144 furlongs per milifortnight.
