I don't shoulder my nails. I also try to do them in one heat so by the time 
I bash the head down, its getting a little cold. That tends to make it want 
to stick in the header. The simple solution is to dip it in water as soon 
as the head is on. The nail tends to fall right out. Most of my nail making 
is at demonstrations so its also convenient that the water dip makes it 
cool enough to pass around immediately. I have another header that hasn't 
been used much (bought it brand new) and the nails tend to stick in it more 
than my old "well used" one.

PS. Where in Nova Scotia are you located. We are planning a vacation up 
that way the last week of July/1st week of August and hope to catch the 
tall ships in Halifax. Any other travel/sight seeing tips?
