[TheForge] Weathervanes and Lightening

In my day job we are building a combined cycle cogeneration power plant 
on UC's campus, GO BEARCATS!!!

The cooling towers are on the roof, and part of the project 
installation includes a Maxwell Lighting Protection System.

It consists of a fairly large number of "antenna" all connected to 
ground via large diameter cable. Somewhere around 1/2".

The first contractor "screwed" up and connected it to the building 
steel which turns out NOT to be code.
