Perhaps, but all I know is part of one of my jobs in Florida was to
verify resistance in the lightning systems. Of course this was at NASA
KSC and also Florida is the lightning capitol.....
Much better to make the current go mostly where you want and not where
ever... especially when dealing with LARGE explosive devices etc.....
