Aaron,
One alternative might be to buy some Celotex or other foam insulation board
with aluminum facing and cut pieces to size to fit snugly inside of each
window. The foam boards can be covered with contact paper or cloth or
whatever to make them a little more pleasing to look at. Anyway, put these
in the windows at night and you'll be pleased with how well they work to
keep heat in and cold out over night. It's a little depressing to leave
them in during the day when having a little sunshine come into the house is
a good thing.
