Whoops. My bad. Unfortunately while I had the chance to take a bunch of 
shop classes in HS I was over in the computer lab, so I never learned the 
nuances between motors and engines.

Now that I'm on the right track, let me ask again...

In looking for ~5 HP Engines I'm finding prices ranging from $150-$350. 
While the low end seems much better than the high end, I'm also seeing 
Wal-Mart selling a 5 HP lawnmower for about $150. That would seem to 
indicate that there's a source out there that I haven't found yet that's 
cheaper.

Anyone know of said source, or perhaps a field that sees enough small 
engines coming through on the used market that I can try to make contact 
with to get a better deal? Meanwhile I'm gonna be keeping an eye out for 
lawn mowers and tractors getting thrown away that might be useful.
