Folks,

I was looking around in an antique joint last night and there was a
really cool betty lamp for sale.  The design was very different from
the ones we made at the folk school and much more elegant.  The main
pot was round and tapered downward at the sides with a slender spout.

It is all black, definitely hand made and appearing to have been raised
from a single sheet (no evidence of brazing where the sides meet bottom.

Anyhow, they want $69 for it.  Being between gigs, I'm reticent to
buy it myself, though I'm tempted.  If anyone is interested in it I
can pick it up for you or get you the phone number,  or you can look
it up yourself.  Old Glory antiques on main street in Vancouver.

That, or I'll cave and buy it myself. :)

PS: Took doggies to the river for a walk.  Picked up about 5# of
wrought iron spikes/nails.  Now I have to figure out what to do 
with them.  neener neener neener.
