My wife has been an RN for 40 years, now semi-retired and doing some
research collaboration and consulting.  In a previous incarnation (so
to speak) I worked in medical biochemistry, studying the fluids of the
inner ear.  So it's sort of a family domain.

Twenty-five years and a couple of incarnations later, I went back and
sold the Corti sculpture shown on my web site to the director (by
them, emeritus) of the place where I had done the research work.  I
was *real* pleased that he liked it enough to put it on the wall of
his Mass. Eye & Ear office.
