Hi there, Ralph.  I'm just lurking on this discussion, saving some of
the posts and waiting for somebody to report that they have a $39.95
widget that will develop 15HP from 50' of lampcord and a used washing
machine motor. :-)

Actually, I *have* a used washing machine motor, a 10HP from a motel
laundry that might make a converter for me but no motor to actually
run the hammer yet.  The Cavalier is okay for proof of concept and
I'll probably run it some more but it isn't really um.... "enterprise
ready".  Looking at an old tractor that my neighbor just got on a swap
last week.  Mutter, mutter... and all like that.
