We used to blow up 60K electrolytic capacitors in the EE building
at City college in NY. we'd attach them to the 660 lines, drop them
out the window and turn on the juice. Sometimes the leads would burn
away before the explosion, but every now and then they'd last just
long enough... there are a couple of good divots in the brickwork
facing 140th street.
