When I started shoeing my anvil was a PW 144# with a decent sway, it took me
a couple of years to get my roundtoits in order and resurface the thing. In
the meantime, I'd gotten used to the sway in the face as a tool, and had a
harder time leveling a shoe on the new flat face. Had to learn a whole new
anvil, ha!
