Clay Spencer has build your own plans of an inline model.
I have built one using salvaged roller skate (not rollerblade) wheels.
Don't se any advantage over his earlier style. Depends on what type work
you are doing with them as to if you need height changes or doing
Dixon/Mindy Gardner style repossee with all the same length tooling.

Speaking of Mindy UMBA has a new tape/DVD of here demonstrating at
Minnesota. www.umbaonline.org then go to the library it is RD26. She did
a switchplate with dogwood flowers that I luckily own, a couple of leaves
and a feather. Her work is excellent. She credits George Dixon for getting
her started with the Treadle hammer doing this style work. She will be a
featured demonstrator at ABANA 2004 but you can get the DVD a lot cheaper.

The above has been a shameless commercial for the library.

Bruce ... the promo card had a couple of photographs. It comes as a regular
foot-operated hammer, or with an optional pneumatic 'power pack' which
converts it to a power treadle hammer (?). It has an in-line ram which
moves straight up and down, rather than in an arc like the original-style
hammers. I'm just interested in testimonials from anyone who owns or has
used this hammer, as to it's quality and such.
