[TheForge] power hammer - Air Scheme

Speaking of air hammers, I used the air scheme from
the AFC web site on the three that I've built which
call for:

5-Way valve - Versa VPP-5502 with 1/2" ports 1/8"
pilots

4-way limit switch - Humphrey 41P with 34C rolling
assembly

Flow control Valve - Bimba FCP2K 1/8" ports

I used a Parker, Series 2MA, style J, 1 1/2 bore 10
stroke with a 3 extension air cylinder, and a Norgren
mechanically operated 3-way valve instead of the ball
valve used in the Kinyon plans. The part number is
K41EAOO-KS1-KPO via a treadle and some linkage (per
Larry Zoeller).

I think if I build another one, I'll use the air
scheme from Dave Mudge, which calls for all Parker
components. I had to get "stuff" from 3-4 different
suppliers. Getting them from one would simplify
things a bit, and the parker roller valve looks to be
heavier duty.

Another thing, I used the flow control valve on the
first hammer and found that it hit harder without the
valve, and had just as much control. So, I didn't
bother with it on the second two.

BTW, it's not supposed to get above 51 degrees today.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, cold.
