Mark,
    I wanna be clear on something. To be totally fair, I didn't build the Rusty 
so I can't say whether it would work well or not.  I didn't build it cause it 
seemed harder to control than the NC-JYH and cause I didn't understand a few 
design aspects at the time.  Jerry didn't help much either.  I could probably 
build it now without his help now that I understand a bit more about how 
hammers work. 

The tire clutch on the NC-JYH is so easy to control that after 2 minutes I was 
hammering away in complete control.

However, if you go to Jerry's site, there are several pictures of Rusty Hammers 
built by people that bought the plans and I assume that they are happy with 
them.  Soooo.....It might work.
