[TheForge] power hammer

Bob,
I built my own version of a NC-JYH power hammer from anvilfire.

You can see a picture of mine at http://www.irontreeworks.com/the_shop.htm. It
works great though it does walk a bit if the metal I'm hitting is too cold.

You can see the original at www.anvilfire.com

I built mine using just the pictures on Anvilfire and looking at designs of
others to get an understanding of the importance of various processes. (like
the slide)

I bought the plans for the Rusty and to be honest, though I was really
disappointed with the plans (just sketches for $22), I thought that I might
build one of those next but after the latest discussions I think that maybe I
won't. The author wrote on the plans that if you have questions you should
call him, but when I called him he hinted that I must not be "mechancially
inclined" if I need his help. Jeesh!

Isn't sanity really just a one trick pony, anyway? I mean, all you get is one
trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazyooh hoo hoo hoothe
sky's the limit!
