there's a nice view of one of those anvils someone mentioned recently:
With integral "legs" to form a bridge so that you can forge huge
U-shaped objects.  Never saw one of those before.  Look how long and
thin the heel is.

In the second picture:  The hammer driver gets a cushy but firmly
anchored seat.  Nice.
