Mike,
Good point. My design hadn't addressed that. I'll have to give it
some more thought.
If the concensus is that this is not a necessary thing, I'll drop it.
So far there doesn't seem to be much concern.

I think somewhere in the Clifton Ralph tapes he mentions not sticking
your fingers in between the reins. I believe the concern is not
pinching
your fingers of , as twisting them off if the tongs twist around.
