Bert Shaw was the blacksmith in Leverett, Mass. (and elsewhere) who
first introduced me to smithing.  A real character.  I think I better
write up as many of the anecdotes and yarns as I can remember,
including why he was "Dr. Shaw", and put it on the web.  He deserves
it.

RSN.  (Not today, though.  The tide is still good for seaweed and I'm
off to do that if the truck will start at 0 degF.) I'll post the URL
here when I've done it.
