For what it's worth:
Over the past couple of years I have taken to shooting a lot of pictures
in the shop during work.
I keep clients "quiet" and "patient" by updating them on their project
via jpgs & email.
When folks have $$ tied up in a job they get curious, and when it takes
longer than a drive to the mall for them
to see the result of their expenditure, they get nuts. Since starting
to keep them current visually, no problems and no noise.
Better still, when a project goes up in price (due to their additions or
changes) they don't balk at the bill....they saw what was involved.
The grape/oak pot rack went from $5k to $6.5k without skipping a beat.
Before emailed jpgs there would have been at least a discussion.....
The images also help when describing process and task steps.
