Hey Bruce,
 Until about 10 years ago I could buy the regulator parts and rebuild them
myself, for about $8.
About 10 years ago they stopped stocking the parts, but they could send off
your regulators, for a complete rebuild, for about $30.
These days they want a minimum of $50 just to open it up.
Where are you getting the parts?
I suspect OSHA and our litigious society has made it difficult to get the
parts in most areas.
