Tom , the comment about Dave's shop would have been mine. Dave has seen

I too have always enjoyed your explanations. The comment someone made
about motion always being caused by an application of a force, and in
this case the force being gravity, caused a light to go on here.
Not that it changes anything in the way I would do things. I was trained
in the "You do it this way because it works" school. Those rules always
seem to honor the laws of physics.
This little discussion just brought into focus several things that I
already knew and did not realize it.
