Well, if you want to get technical, then you should complete the picture by 
adding the dimensions of increased volume from heating, markedly so with gas 
furnaces. Then too, cooler air need only move beneath the heated exit gasses, 
while they are expanding the displacing air's volume by heat transference. I'm 
not disputing your point, but if you want to get technical, lets be thorough 
about it:-) Anyone else have one more detail, which I forgot?
