If you are at all concerned with fumes of any type, solvents or what 
have you, you can make use of the other half of the venting operation. 
For every last cubic inch of vented atmosphere that goes up the chimney, 
one enters the shop. If you let some in down low it will dilute any 
fumes and eventually they too will go up the flue.
