A library near here ,has the foxfire books.I really wanted the pop. science ,
pop. mechanics ,and other magazine articles from early 1900's
to the '50's, about do it yourself making one's own tools and
machinery .The survivors had these articles intermingled with reprints
of articles from encyclopedias from the 1800 ' s . Also some editorials
that I have skipped after reading the first few .
  Since 9/11 they seem to be pretty jumpy .But ....
