Well, that's cool! When I did a search on AR500, it just came up with 
several suppliers listing it as an abrasion resistant plate. It 
apparently is sold in plates from 3/16 to whatever.

No obvious mention of armor plate, but it makes sense. The stuff is 
tough. Most of them just showed it used for liners in rock crushers and 
things where work-hardening and toughness would be needed.

That it would be classed as armor plate is interesting.
