Sounds like you have issues with bike riders..... I ride a Harley.
Perhaps the group was just enjoying the view that you have been blazing by. 
It might be new to them and as such they might actually want to see it.

Maybe because the squids are stupid and most die off before 30? and the Hog 
rides live to see 100?
But I ride my bike. Occasionally I even get to drag the pegs....
