[TheForge] Oxygen concentrators

I've had an oxygen generator for several years. Love it. It needs a supply
of compressed air.
They come in all sizes. Mine is a small 25 cubic foot per hour at 60 lbs.
You can go the next step to 50 cubic feet if that isn't enough. I use it for
heating and bending and cutting. My wife uses it for hot glass, (lamp
working, bead making). If we both use it a lot it can't keep up so we
alternate when both need a lot.
Mine came with a 60 gallon storage tank.
There are no consumables (well it does use electricity). There is a small
filter that should be replaced periodically.
I have no idea about the one on E-bay. It looks like a pretty small unit.
There are no specs on capacity, pressure, purity of the oxygen etc. Mine
puts out 93% pure oxygen. The one on E-bay only says that it is a
"concentrator" not a generator. You see similar units around the nursing
homes to supply some oxygen to the folks who have trouble breathing. I
suspect that it would be terribly limited in volume, purity and pressure
and not very practical for metal work.

Subject: Re: [TheForge] Oxygen concentrators
There are several oxy concentrators for sale on eBay
(2381780626 and others). There was a thread about this kind
of technology on theForge awhile back. Could the person
using these instead of oxy cylinders please answer a couple
of questions...?
What kind of capacity is possible?
What kind of oxy storage is necessary to use with standard
torch set?
Are there comsumables required such as an replaceable cells
and what is typical cost.
Are the units for sale on eBay appropriate for typical torch
use?
Thanks ahead of time for your response.
