and if you released the gas in space ....how much volume would it 'occupy'.
Would it magically stop diffusing when it hit 1000x the original volume?
Check your initial assumptions - like maybe 1000x at 1 atm pressure and
standard temperature.  In other words, this looks like a case of leaving off
the usual weasel words that we scientist just love to tack on....
