All:
Kind of in line with this thread - What is the heat of vaporization of
propane??
For water it is 540 calories per gram, which is huge. Put your hand over
steam (100 C) or spill boiling coffee (100 C). One you go to the hospital
with first and second degree burns the other you just swear.
