The New York State Designer Blacksmiths (NYSDB) are inviting all affiliates
to participate in building and displaying a banner at the 2004 ABANA
Conference.  Please pass the word to your membership and see if a banner can
be created to display your affiliate logo and colors.

Dave Koenig (Conference Chairperson) is excited about the project and fully
supports it.

Originally NYSDB had only one banner and now it has one for each of our five
forges.  We found that the banner is an attraction at public demonstrations
and our members enjoy them too.

Here are some guidelines to consider.  The stand should be forged and be
self supporting on asphalt. (Holes in asphalt are prohibited!)  All fusion
welding should be concealed.  The banner should measure about 22" x 34".
The stand should not be more than 7' to the support bar.  Be creative in the
design.  And, have fun.

If your affiliate wishes to bring and display a banner NYSDB would like your
commitment so plans can be made to display the banners most effectively.
