If the guy is uncertain about it, then he isn't comfortable with his 
mastery of the principles involved...In which case, timidity is the most 
prudent course.
Those of us who grew up playing with fire and view it as recreation will 
feel less hesitant ( be it foolishness or  justifiable) and go right ahead.
I'd never seen one when I built my first ..the burner howled like a jet 
plane and I had a fine old time.
'Cause it is possible to screw up disastrously ( part of the fun), 
perhaps diving right in isn't necessarily always the best course of 
action for everybody.
That's about all the qualifiers I can stand....Pete F
