this sounds to me to be a simple pool and eye pattern. you dill then forge
flat there is no problem with the hole closing unless you Mill the hole
square at the bottom. or you drill to small of a hole I usually drill down
1/3 the billet on both sides then draw to just over the blade thickness this
is a very easy pattern to not screw up.
