As long as you are not drilling too deep and as long as you use care in
drawing it will pose not problem. At least that is how I seem to
remember Ray doing it. But his prefered way was the press.... It was
much faster.....

As Dan Tull said, try out stuff. in pattern-welded stuff it is all about
experiemnetation and I repeat and documentation of EVERY step so you can
duplicate it at will.
