I've made a few tomahawk heads in the past and not having any real guide as
to shape and size some of them looked okay and some were rather unpleasing.
After seeing Rob Hudson demonstrate this past weekend at the NJBA meet and seeing
a nice tomahawk he brought as part of his display, I have a renewed interest
in making axe, hatchet and tomahawk heads. Does anyone have a suggestion as to
a reference that might show examples of such work? Information would be
greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
I would be remiss if I didn't pass on that Rob's demonstration was excellent
and he is an interesting and nice person to meet. He brought samples and
photos of some of his beautiful work which were inspiring. I consider it an honor
to have met him and to have watched him work. On second thought it was a
performance, a really good one.
