Andy,
In WW II one of the American Flag (US) Ships my father served on, He
was the only American citizen. The other officers were Norwegian Merchant
Marine that had not returned to Norway after Germany occupied it: the crew
was Chinese. Don't you think that maybe the reason they called it World
War is that peoples of so many nations fought?
American Scientists have used the metric system for many decades. My
fathers 1935 Engineering books had metric "stuff".
Even those American made, Forest City, Iowa Winnebago Brand Motor homes
are built using metrics.
