..and a late Merry Christmas from us (who one again did not get the
cards sent - maybe we will by July).    Good news on the Ken front
---------  Today's note indicates big improvements! One of his daughters
is in town and she is a physical therapist, so has been working with him
between regular sessions and has accomplished great things.  Taught him
how to release the foot on his wheel chair and popell himself with left
hand and foot.  He said he" had to go' and did not finish the sentence
so she said' "lead on" and he lead them to the PT room.  The therapist
put in an extra 10' with him as a reward. He did some other remarkable
things for someone with so much damage, e.g. stand in the bars and put
weight on right leg and move left leg forward and back.  The therapist
say he trys and trys again and again.  Sound like our determined friend
is working on a comeback. I know he is following the pattern of some of
our other sick and injured friends, who just keep plugging away and
inspire us all.  I am sure you can think of many who qualify in that
catagory so fill in the blanks.  I don't want to mention names for fear
of forgetting to mention someone, but you and we know who you are.
Blacksmith and their supporters  are  a group all of us should be proud
to be associated with.            Hope this gives you even more hope for
