Crap. I may gave confused it with another UNIX-oid kernel... I get them
confused. Pardon me. At any rate, the XP kernel is one of the *NIX
varieties. That is why it is stable. They replaced a mere program
loader with an actual operating system. Un fortunately, they have
retained the rest of the horribly flawed architecture, the worst of it
being the progran registry.
