Right you are Ken, I mean Jerry.
This is a refurbished e-machine.
Windows XP, 2.80gig Intel celeron processor, 80 gig hard drive, DVD player,
CD-Rewriter, 512 MB ram, speakers, keyboard & mouse. $329.99
AND buying the computer qualified me to buy a new Epson Stylus C84 printer
for $95 and you get $95 in rebates on the printer, so it ends up being free.
Most of the software from the "old" computer that was running Windows 2000
transferred to the new and much more stable Windows XP. As a matter of fact,
I have not been able to make the XP crash. I am one happy cat.
Now if I can just do something about my s-l-o-w connection speed. Actually
today I am rocketing along at 28.1 kbps.

Hit that one on the head Dave. Even 10+ years ago, as soon as you had your
new super machine hooked up you could get bigger and faster, cheaper. When I
built my first computer I was dismayed checking catalogues, by the time I'd
double checked my list, prices would drop and newer better would be
available. Finally I had to say enough, get it now.
I spent around $2,200 and within the week could've gotten the same thing for
$1,700. That was before all the components arrived and I could put it
together.
After building my last three computers and having to buy software to make em
go I just laid $549 on HP, plugged it in and went to work.
