Outlook Express comes for free with windows and doesn't have all the
scheduling, notetaking etc. bells and whistles that Outlook has. Outlook comes with
Microsoft Office. There are multiple versions of each as the are revved along
with the package (i.e. a new express with win 98, win 2000, XP etc). Frankly,
they both suck. But if you're in a big networked environment you can add
Exchange Server (which gives you mail management, shared schedules and contact lists
etc) to attain a truly transcendent level of suckiness .
If you just want to make sure your mail will be recoverable in an emergency
you can use Outlook's export function to back everything up to a single (huge)
.pst file which you can burn to a CD-R. Off list if you need details.

On Topic: I'm PVRing the History channel series "Weapons that made Britain"
which looks pretty cool, They are forging and heat treating a breastplate in a
coal forge right now.
