The Maitreya Project is about a 500ft. bronze statue of Buddha being built
in northern India.

Just for reference, the Statue of Liberty is 305'1" from the ground to the
tip of the torch.

Of course the Maitreya Project is about a whole lot more than the statue. 

It's a $250mil.on 750 acres education center, health care center and social
development 

center focusing on the world's poor and underprivileged people. Check it
