You need to check with Utah state law to see what's legal.
Universal life Church can ordain you or a friend over the internet to marry
you but most states are clamping down on the practice. Check with local
pastors in the area, chances are you can get someone legit for 1-200$
(approx). Still- you have to deal with the standard 'I do' stuff.

Food luck,

ok, this is a bit outside the purview of blacksmithing, but since this
crowd seems to be nothing if not eclectic--I was surprised and then
surprised to be surprised that one of our recently passed members was a
dedicated pagan and an ordained univeralist--I thought I'd toss it out.

We're getting married this spring in Zion National Park, Utah. We need
someone to perform the ceremony. Neither of us is affiliated with any
church and we have a pretty good idea of what the ceremony and vows and
so on will be--so we need someone we like to make us legal without
making us go through weeks of counselling or saying a lot of stuff to
fit into a religious tradition to which we don't belong.

If that person were to be a fellow blacksmith--especially if that
fellow blacksmith were a woman--that would be fantastic.

Thousand to one shot, but I thought maybe one of you might be or know
of such a person.

Thanks,

Justin.
