[TheForge] shoulder pain OT

To this discussion of age and infirmity I'd like to inject this bit of
sunshine:
My mom has an aunt who in her mid-70's was diagnosed with brain cancer.
The waiting game began and we all feared the worst for the ordeal she
would have to endure. But as the tumor grew it bore on a part of her
brain that either stimulate pleasure centers or suppresed discomfort
and unhappiness--whatever it was, with a tumor in her head the size of
a balcksmith's fist she is blind on one side and mostly paralyzed but
quite lucid and consistently, upliftingly, centered, content, and
happy. She knows she's dying and she's fine with it. She's not blissed
out and she's not just a well-settled soul--the tumor is doing it and
she's aware and happy. So are we.
So sometimes, just sometimes, people get lucky. Would we all could have
the same good fortune.
