[TheForge] shoulder pain OT

I've been troubled with increasing shoulder pain over the last few
years, first while moving, later just sitting still. After seeing a few
orthopedic surgeons and several x-rays and an MRI I was told I had multiple
rotator cuff tears and very bad arthritis. Tried physical therapy and a
chiropractor nothing helped. Finally seven months ago I had a total shoulder
replacement, the post op. physical therapy was very painful, but I now have
a greater range of motion than before and the constant pain is GONE. My
advise is exercise all your options and choose surgery only as a last
resort, there are a lot of things that can go wrong. Doctor says it will
still be 5 or 6 months before I can hammer again, and never aggressively
with a heavy hammer.

P.S. If I knew I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care
of myself.

I got a new chainsaw last month and must have overdid it.
My left shoulder hurts. I can't sleep on it and raising my
arm is painful. I think it might be a rotator cuff injury.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Are
there exercises I could do?

Thanks

Bob
