Well Dave B, remember that we are a nice mixture of blacksmiths and geeks

Well, the world won't come to an end if there are a few problems with 
archives.  Anyway, the object of the list isn't to tell people to go 
searching, it's to encourage conversation even if it's been gone over a 
thousand times.  This is good not only for the newbie to the list, but for 
us old farts who don't remember what we know unless our vodka soaked brain 
cells are kicked once in a while.

I don't know why all the knashing of teeth and rending of cloth over 
missing non-topical posts.  Why not just use the stuff Ron Reil edited the 
trash out of?

I was doing so well ignoring this thread and then I just had to go and read 
all of today's mail by mistake.  Where's that bottle of vodka when I really 
need it.
