For more brazing information than most of us could ever use refer to
http://www.handyharmancanada.com/TheBrazingBook/bbook.htm

A side note on the silfoss and its variants; it is mostly intended to be
used for fluxless joining of copper tubing. It will work on many other
metals when used with a flux, but is primarily intended for fluxless joining
of copper. The joints that it produces are very hard and therefore brittle.
It has a very low silver content, which maxes out at a 15% BCuP alloy.

For joining ferrous metals and copper alloys(brasses and bronzes) try a
'silver solder' BAg alloy, typically 45% silver. The BAg alloys must all be
used with a flux regardless of the parent metals.
