There is a similar rig we had back in the 60's for heavy-duty cutting
underwater. Not a very salubrious environment. Just setting the thing up
topside took forever. Hard, dirty unpleasant and dangerous work, but that's
the nature of underwater salvage. (Dark Water Salvage Co.)

No reason that I can imagine. Using an air arc is like using a sledge hammer
to drive 10p nail, an oxygen lance is way outside necessity for us
chickens....
But then I have an air arc and have used it.....;-)
