We assume that the copper gutters do not have a protective clear coat.
Have them make a "tea" using an ammonia based commercial fertilizer
like you would find in the garden dept. at Home Despot.
Spray the copper with the tea, give it some time to work.
It's the ammonia that does the trick.  They could also just pee on the
gutters
but that may upset the neighborhood.
