Looks to me like that's a splendid visualization tool.  Can you output
data files that are readable by other apps that use CAD images?

I note that details are elided that probably would have to be there if
the data were to go to a CAM app, e.g. small radius under the head and
less sharp transition from thread to shank.  Not important for
visualization.

That wouldn't matter much to me.  Being able to rotate a shape in
3-space and being able to ask for point-to-dimensions would be.


I've never used CAD but would like to.  Will you need a Linux beta
tester along about the time the snow flies?
