Hey Ries-
I believe it is 385 bronze which has zinc and lead, right? From my little
experience the stuff can look more yellow like brass than bronze (?) I can
see the benefit of a silver solder that would not affect the surrounding
base material so much as full-on brazing would. that is- unless the colors
came 'close enough' to match. We'll see after my experiements.
PS-  I got some great notes covering this subject from the art-metal site by
Jack klahm. I'm definately going to try some of his tricks to deal with it,
hot and cold.
