A woodworking textbook may provide the information, though
setting the guides isn't a big deal. I've always set the
bearings such that they just make contact with the blade and
the guide blocks with perhaps 0.0015 on each side and clear
enough of the set so the teeth don't strike them under load.
As far as I've ever known, that's pretty much the long and
the short of setting guides on a bandsaw. It gets a little
trickier when you're running a 1/4" wood blade, where as I
recall you may tighten up a bit, buyt it's more of a take
slower cutting than setting the guides.
Have you checked out cool blocks? I think you can find them
advertized in Fine Woodworking.
